Trace is building the AI-native design-to-manufacturing layer for hardware.

Our wedge is PCB design. Hardware engineers still spend weeks laying out boards in tools built decades before AI existed. Trace lets an engineer describe, review, modify, validate, and manufacture a circuit board through an AI-native workflow. Weeks of manual iteration collapse into hours.

The larger goal is the control layer for physical hardware. Every electronic product starts at a design file. That file decides which components get bought, which fabs get the order, and which country's supply chain the product runs through. Trace wants to own that file.
