Welcome to the website (including all websites to which this Privacy Policy is posted, the “Site”) operated by FKR, Inc., a Delaware C-Corporation doing business as Founders, Inc. (“Founders, Inc.,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Our principal business address is 2 Marina Boulevard, San Francisco, CA 94123.
This Site provides information about Founders, Inc. and our application process, and tools for applicants to submit applications and proceed through the application process (collectively, the “Services”).
This Privacy Policy explains what Personal Information we collect, how we use and disclose it, and your choices concerning our data practices. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service.

Before using the Services or submitting any Personal Information to Founders, Inc., please review this Privacy Policy carefully and contact us if you have questions. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not access the Site or use the Services.
1. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect information that alone or in combination with other information in our possession could be used to identify you (“Personal Information”).
A. Personal Information You Provide
We may collect Personal Information when you submit an application, sign up to receive updates, visit our physical location, or otherwise communicate with us.
Application Information. When you submit an application to Founders, Inc., we may collect Personal Information relating to you and your team, such as:
Name
Email address
Phone number (if provided)
Team size
General geographic location (e.g., city/state/country)
Company name and information
Social media links
Application materials and details you choose to submit (e.g., pitch deck links, video links, resumes, pitch documents, product videos, code samples, industries, and free-text responses)
Photos, video, or audio uploads (if submitted)
We may also generate internal evaluation information, such as internal notes and “fit” indicators or rankings used for internal review.
Email List / Updates (Communication Information). If you subscribe to receive updates, we may collect your email address and any other information you provide, and the contents of communications you send us.
In-Person Visits. If you visit our physical location, we may collect your email address for purposes such as sending a liability form via Envoy.
B. Personal Information We Receive Automatically From Your Use of the Site
At this time, we do not intentionally collect device/usage data such as IP address, device identifiers, or browser telemetry for analytics purposes. However, like most websites, certain basic information may be processed by infrastructure and hosting providers in the ordinary course of delivering web content (e.g., for security, reliability, and fraud prevention).
C. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We may implement cookies or online tracking technologies in the future (for example, analytics). If we do, we will update this Privacy Policy and (where required) provide appropriate choices/consent mechanisms.
Do Not Track Signals. We honor browser “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) signals. Where DNT is detected, we will take reasonable steps to limit tracking that is not necessary to provide the Site.
2. HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may use Personal Information for the following purposes:
To provide and administer access to the Services and manage application submissions
To evaluate applications and make admissions decisions (Founders, Inc. decides internally)
To communicate with you about your application status and next steps (including interviews) via email
To respond to inquiries, comments, feedback, or questions
To send administrative information about the Services and changes to our terms, conditions, and policies
To prevent fraud, malicious activity, and misuse of our Services and to maintain security
To comply with legal obligations and enforce sanctions compliance (e.g., excluding sanctioned jurisdictions)
To protect rights, safety, and property of Founders, Inc., applicants, and others
No AI in Selection. We do not use artificial intelligence to choose which applicants are selected, and we do not use AI systems involving applicant data for evaluation.
No Other Purposes. We do not use applicant data to generate external reports about startups or for unrelated profiling purposes.
Aggregated Information. We may create aggregated or de-identified information for internal operational purposes (for example, understanding application volume over time). Aggregated information is not intended to identify you.
3. SHARING AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may share Personal Information in limited circumstances as follows:
A. Vendors and Service Providers
We may share Personal Information with service providers who help us operate the Services and perform functions on our behalf (e.g., hosting providers, email systems, visitor management like Envoy). These parties may access, process, or store Personal Information only to perform services for us and in accordance with our instructions.
B. Legal Requirements
We may disclose Personal Information if required by law or in the good faith belief that disclosure is necessary to:
Comply with legal obligations or lawful requests
Protect and defend our rights or property
Prevent fraud or address security issues
Protect the safety of users or the public
Protect against legal liability
C. Business Transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, financing due diligence, or sale of all or a portion of our assets (a “Transaction”), Personal Information may be disclosed in connection with the Transaction and transferred as part of it.
D. With Your Consent
We may disclose Personal Information to third parties when you direct us to do so or provide your consent.
E. No Selling or Sharing for Marketing
We do not sell Personal Information. We do not share applicant data with third parties such as partners or other organizations for their independent use. We do not transfer or sell email lists.
4. YOUR CHOICES, REQUESTS, AND UPDATING YOUR INFORMATION
You may contact us at legal@f.inc to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your Personal Information, subject to applicable law and permitted exceptions.
Important note about applications: Founders, Inc. does not provide a user account portal to edit submissions. If you want to provide updated information, the current process is to reapply.
We may take steps to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
5. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS
If you are a California resident, you may have certain rights regarding your Personal Information under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA (“CCPA”), subject to exceptions and limitations.
A. Categories of Personal Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
Identifiers (name, email, phone)
Geolocation data (general location such as city/state/country)
Audio/visual information (photos/video/audio you submit)
Professional or employment-related information (only if you choose to include it in application materials, such as resumes)
Internet/electronic activity (limited; see Section 1B)
Inferences (internal evaluation notes/fit indicators)
B. Purposes for Collection
We collect and use Personal Information for the purposes described in Section 2 (primarily application evaluation and communications).
C. Sale/Sharing
We do not sell Personal Information. We do not “share” Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA.
D. Exercising California Rights
To submit a request to know, delete, or correct, contact us at legal@f.inc. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
6. CHILDREN
Founders, Inc. may accept applications from individuals under 18. If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to submit your application.
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided Personal Information, contact us at legal@f.inc and we will take appropriate steps.
7. LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES
The Services may contain links to other websites not operated or controlled by Founders, Inc. (“Third Party Sites”). This Privacy Policy does not apply to Third Party Sites. Please review their privacy policies directly.
8. SECURITY
You use the Services at your own risk. We implement commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures designed to protect Personal Information. However, no Internet or email transmission is fully secure. Please take care in deciding what information you send to us.
9. INTERNATIONAL USERS
Founders, Inc. accepts applicants globally (excluding sanctioned jurisdictions). If you submit Personal Information from outside the United States, you understand that your Personal Information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
10. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post an updated version on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. By continuing to use the Services after changes become effective, you consent to the revised Privacy Policy.
