Sume is building an AI ad production platform for brands and agencies. Its first step is Sume API, which offers models like Seedance at the provider's original price with no markup, undercutting routers like Higgsfield, fal, and Runway that charge 1.4x to 5x for simply forwarding requests. Sume sees that routing margin as a commodity bound to disappear, so it gives it away and plans to make money on workflow instead. It will launch a product refined through a six-month enterprise beta that handles the full ad cycle, from trend discovery and storyboarding to production, posting, and optimization. Because each customer's guidelines, past campaigns, and performance data build up inside that product, switching away gets costly.
