InteractionLabs is building an ambient desk-lamp companion robot that brings AI out of the screen and into the physical workspace. The expressive desk-lamp robot can see, talk, and remember users, shifting AI from apps to the environment itself. It offers hands-free, context-aware help that’s always present at the edge of the desk, with vision, voice, and memory working together. Clear, legible cues make its assistance predictable and easy to understand, so the companion robot can slot into daily workflows without feeling intrusive or confusing.

Founded in 2025 by Karim Rkha Chaham and Julien Ajdenbaum, InteractionLabs draws on deep backgrounds in math, computer science, and AI from leading French engineering schools including ENSTA Paris, Polytechnique, and ENS Paris. Karim Rkha Chaham has been building products from scratch across data analytics and AI workflow tools, while Julien Ajdenbaum has been building social robots since he was 10 years old. Together they are methodically exploring what it means for everyday computers to become physically present, social, and consistently helpful in real-world environments.
