About
Traditional 3D software assumes you own a graphics workstation and have months to climb the learning curve. Gabriela Trueba started her career fabricating for artists in New York, taught herself 3D modeling, and kept running into the same wall: expensive programs that crashed when you tried Boolean operations on complex geometry, desktop applications that locked you to one machine, mesh topology errors that required hours of cleanup. She built Womp to eliminate all of it. The software runs entirely in a browser using a volumetric signed-distance-field engine that handles shape operations non-destructively in real time. Blend shapes, subtract volumes, deform surfaces. The system streams rendering from the cloud, so it works on a laptop that can barely run email. No downloads, no licensing dongles, no polygon count anxiety. Designers prototype product concepts in minutes, educators teach 3D without lab computers, teams collaborate live on models that export print-ready to any 3D printer.
Founded in 2022 by Gabriela Trueba, Womp emerged from years of navigating 3D's accessibility problems firsthand. Before Womp, Trueba co-founded MatterLab as a CAD/CAM engineer and later built aro app. She studied design at New York University and originally comes from Quito, Ecuador. That path through fabrication work, self-taught 3D skills, and previous startups shaped the architecture: browser-native from day one, built around how people actually want to work with 3D, focused on removing every unnecessary barrier between concept and render.
