About

MakerMods builds modular USB-C robotics kits powered by AI, so people can plug robot modules together and control them with natural language as easily as assembling LEGO. The system centers on ModBlocks, a plug-and-play modular robotics platform where each block connects over USB-C, making it straightforward to swap parts, reconfigure builds, and iterate on new robots without wiring or firmware work. By tying hardware modules directly to AI control, MakerMods turns natural-language prompts into motion and behavior, giving users a fast way to go from an idea to a working robot.

Founded in 2025 by Ryan (Pou Ut) Chan and Isaac (Wai Teng) Sin, MakerMods is grounded in years of robotics education, AI, and software development. Ryan (Pou Ut) Chan has a background in robotics education and has led championship-winning robotics teams before starting MakerMods. Isaac (Wai Teng) Sin brings extensive experience in AI, robotics, and software development, including leading a MATE Underwater ROV World Championship team, shaping how the platform is built and tested.
