Can I apply if I'm not in SF?
Yes – if you can be here for the program. Artifact is in person at Fort Mason, and you should plan to be in San Francisco for the full five weeks.
Can I apply if I don't have an idea?
Yes, you don’t need a polished idea. But you do need a direction you’re willing to build immediately. The goal is to leave five weeks with an Artifact: a prototype, a link, a demo. Something that lives outside your head and can be used and critiqued without you in the room.
Is Artifact full-time?
It’s intense. If you can’t make real space for five weeks, it’s probably not the right fit.
Can I apply solo?
Yes. You can apply solo or with a cofounder.

Who is this for?
Artifact is for people who want to go all in for five weeks and turn “I’m going to start a company” into something real: a prototype, first users, a demo people can touch.
Not for people exploring entrepreneurship.
Not for people who need another year to prepare.

If you’re accepted, we can provide a letter of invitation.
You’re responsible for securing any visa/travel documents.
What happens after
Historically, we’ve invested in roughly the top 10% of teams ($100–$250K first checks). Many teams also get their access extended when they’re making real progress.
