Frequently Asked Questions
When does Blueprint II start?
Blueprint starts September 30 and will go on till December 11. After that, you'll have up to 1 year of residence in our hardware labs.
Are you funding up front?
Yes. We will write 150k checks. Capped YC SAFE. No MFN.
When will I hear back?
We review applications on a rolling basis. If you apply by September 14, you'll hear back by September 20 at the latest.
What is the application deadline?
September 14th 11:59PM PST
Are solo founders eligible?
Yes. We've backed many solo founders.
What does the program entail?
Blueprint is all about making the most progress in a short period of time. Every week, you'll have one lecture (on growth, design, fundraising, building a company) and one fireside with founders that are a few steps ahead of you. Rest of the time is dedicated to building your company.
Do I have to be in SF?
Yes. It's an in-person program. You are expected to be here full time barring commitments like meeting with potential customers, investors, etc.
I need a visa. Can I apply?
Yes. If you are accepted to the program, we can provide a letter.
Do you provide housing or cover travel?
No. Teams arrange and pay for their own travel, housing, and living expenses. We share an SF guide with accepted teams. Continued access to our hardware facility means workspace, not housing.
Can international founders apply?
Yes, if you can participate in person in San Francisco. Participants are responsible for securing permission to enter and remain in the United States. Founders, Inc. does not sponsor visas or provide immigration advice.
Can I bring or ship hardware to campus?
Usually, but tell us in advance about anything large, heavy, high-voltage, battery-powered, pressurized, chemical, noisy, or otherwise safety-sensitive.
Do not bring or ship large hardware without approval. We may ask for dimensions, weight, power, ventilation, storage needs, and a safety plan.
Applications close September 14.
